As passive radiation shielding, preventing the uncontrolled
propagation of direct or diffuse laser radiation at
wavelengths from 1064 up to 10600 nm, Glastec laser
protection glasses, dependent on their composition,
shield from CO2 and YAG laser radiation detrimental
to health. They have been tested according to EN 12254.
Insulating glass combinations with special additional
protection systems, foil roller and lamellae Venetian
blinds built in the space between the panes, are connected
to the laser by means of a dry switch contact and automatically
closed when the laser gets started. See the relevant
systems ISO-Shadow, ISO-Roll,
ISO-Nova etc.
Combinations with X-ray and fire protection glasses
are possible too. The application engineers of Glastec
will be glad to consult you about the suitable product
and glass type. In any case the suitable / required
glass type should be determined by a risk analysis for
laser workplaces.
