Fire resistant insulating glasses with additional functionalities
Glastec’s fire-resistant insulating glasses are constructions basing on multi-laminated fire resistant glasses of the category EI 30 or EI 60 with special layers of intumescent mastic. The space between the panes is possible ≥ 8 mm. As a result, insulating glasses with thicknesses ≥ 28 mm can be provided.
As to esthetics and energetics, additional requirements and functionalities are fulfilled by using specified counter panes. Examples:
The basic version already reaches sound insulation values up to 42 dB. Dependent on the used counterpane up to 51 dB are possible.
For sunshading or screen vision measures the fire protection insulating glasses can be provided with integrated foil roller systems or Venetian blinds.
For personal and building protection the outer pane may be equipped with an alarm circuit sensor.
Safety against falling, design, thermal insulation etc.
As a special feature fire insulating glasses from Glastec can be constructed as endless butt joint glazing without obtrusive mullions, which means frameless glass surfaces in modern all-glass appearance.
